This page explains which data we process on ai-leadership.community and in the AI Leadership Community.

2. Hosting and server log files

The website and the member area run on a server of netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. Each access stores browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address and the time of the request. We need this data for stable and secure operation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Cloudflare

We use the content delivery network and the R2 storage service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and connection data to deliver content and block attacks. Website images are stored on Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies

We set only technically necessary cookies, so we need no cookie banner. The legal basis is § 25(2) TDDDG.

  • ail_session keeps you signed in, for 90 days from the last use.
  • ail_csrf protects forms against abuse, for 30 days.
  • lang stores the language you chose, for 1 year.

5. Web analytics (Matomo)

We use Matomo on our own server (matomo.marcushorndt.de). No data goes to third parties. Matomo runs here without cookies. We store IP addresses in anonymized form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in statistical analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Sign-in and member area

For your account we process your email address, your name, your booked products, your access dates, your learning progress and your device sessions. You sign in without a password: we send you a link and a code by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We send emails through the SMTP server of ALL-INKL.COM (Neue Medien Münnich, Germany).

7. Questions and answers in the member area

If you ask or answer something below a unit, other members of the product see your post and your name. We store the post until you delete it or your account is deleted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Please do not post confidential data or data of third parties.

8. Purchase and payment (upay.me and Stripe)

We sell through the upay.me checkout. Stripe can be added as another payment provider (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland). The provider processes the data you enter there (email address, name, billing address, company details if any, and payment data) to handle the purchase and issue the invoice. We receive the order data (name, email address, booked product, payment status) and use it to open your access. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory retention duties. The privacy information of the provider applies in addition.

9. Emails and tags (inviomail)

We use inviomail (Ulrich Bittl, Ehrenbergstr. 16a, 10245 Berlin, Germany) for notices about your membership. We transmit your email address and tags about your access, for example whether you are a member. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We send newsletters only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, for example with the link in every email.

10. Videos (Bunny Stream and embedded videos)

We deliver the videos in the member area through Bunny Stream (BunnyWay d.o.o., Cesta komandanta Staneta 4A, 1215 Medvode, Slovenia). During playback Bunny processes your IP address and technical connection data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

If a unit embeds a video from YouTube or Vimeo, your browser connects to that provider when the video loads. We embed YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode.

11. Telegram group

The exchange takes place in a Telegram group. The provider is Telegram Messenger Inc., Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You need a Telegram account for the group. The terms and privacy information of Telegram apply. Other members see your Telegram profile and your posts. To manage access we store your Telegram identifier and remove you from the group when the contract ends. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

12. Live sessions (Zoom)

If we offer live sessions, we use Zoom (Zoom Video Communications, Inc., 55 Almaden Boulevard, San Jose, CA 95113, USA). Zoom processes connection data and everything you enter or say in the session. Zoom is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

13. Storage period

We delete your data when the purpose ends. We keep contract and invoice data as long as statutory periods require.

14. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to [email protected].

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
